Moffat Beach House

Built on a small narrow lot, this contemporary interpretation of a mid-century modern beach house accommodates everything you will need in an efficient floor plan. The ground floor contains generous open plan living spaces along with a separate media room. The upper floor contains 4 bedrooms, including a surprisingly luxurious master bedroom and an additional living area.

The design cleverly uses materials to create a beautiful and sustainable house on a very tight budget. Insulated panels were used for the roof and external walls to keep the interior cool. The privacy screening required at the front of the house also provides sun shading for the windows as well being a design feature. Stained timber contrasts with the all white colour scheme provide accents and highlights.
